049: CBE 2025 Favorites
This year has been a bumpy one. Suffice to say, I'm pretty happy it's over. But, it ended with me getting a new job and picking up a few products I've been watching. Not a lot, though. Being unemployed made me more considerate when it came to products I needed vs. products I just wanted. Come to find out, I didn't need anything. Some products made it onto my list at the last minute. That's how good they are. Here are the 10 products I loved in 2025. Crown Affair The Overnigh

048: Bougie Thy Name Is...
Yes. Thy name is CBE. I thought an Hermés lip liner was the end of my bougie choices but, no, no. I had to get Victoria Beckham's The Foundation Drops with TFC8 ® . But, let's not get too excited about cost. Yes, it's more expensive than any foundation I've ever purchased. However. I got a very hefty discount because a friend works at a particular store and scored me the best of all holiday discounts. I love my friends. I chose shade 5 - Light (neutral with warm undertones)

047: Lining With Intent
Or contour. I fought it for the longest time, rejecting all kinds of contouring, until age caught up with the volume of my lips. Now, it’s all about lining with intent. Or contouring my lips. I see Hailey Bieber doing it all the time, although overlining is a bit much for me. I liked the idea of Rhode’s Peptide Lip Shape, but not the consistency or the price tag for something that disappears. Honestly, anytime I really want a product but don’t feel like spending a lot, I sear

046: The Original "OG"
My first Revlon product was their Windsor Rose nail polish. Everyone owned it. It was "viral" before viral was a thing. Back then, Revlon was so popular and high-end, they had a counter in department stores. Although it's now a drugstore brand, the quality and shade range is still superb. The original "OG". I just picked up their Super Lustrous Lipstick in Whisky Business and I love it. Not that it was easy to find since it's sold out everywhere. Toasty and natural, it's as

045: Pencil Me In
If someone were to ask me for a GRWM, they'd probably fall asleep. I barely prime, contour, and highlight. Yes, I love these techniques but I like to keep it natural. And, lining my lips ? I never used to line my lips. It'd be yet another step. However, once you get older, you look in the mirror and ask yourself, "Why don't my lips have definitive edges? Why are they blending into my face? Where are my lips? " Now lip liner is up there with concealer and mascara; a required p

044: Love a Good Double Agent
Double agent, as in double- duty product. There's nothing better than discovering a product is multi-use. Take, for example, Purity Made Simple from philosophy . We all know it's great at removing makeup, but did you know it's also great for cleaning makeup brushes and makeup sponges? It's especially great for brushes you use to apply concealer and foundation. Let's face it, most concealers are pretty thick and hard to wash off brushes; they have almost a glue consistency.

041: Coffee, Always
But, I did give in to tea, "green tea", but only for a fragrance. Enter, Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden . I knew the scent existed, but never wore it, never tested it, never even read about it. I put it in the "Calyx" column: Popular but never thought about it (Sorry, Prescriptives). There are so many products, films, and trends that everyone loves that never seem to pop into my world until much later, if ever. For example, the movie Titanic . Never seen it. Just a little bit
