027: Frost In A Good Way

I don't like winter, snow, cold wind, ice. But, I'm loving frost again.

"Frost" as in frosted lipstick. Erin Parsons starting chatting about it recently and now MOB Beauty has just released three frosted lipsticks. It's happening. It's coming back fast. So, I ran to buy my favorite L'Oreal lipstick in "Mauved".

I've not worn frost in forever but I've always loved this particular shade. Sort of similar in shade to MOB Beauty's "Paradox" (although in the tube, that shade is pretty light). "Mauved" is not too frosted, not too thick (which frosted lipsticks can be thick and drying) but just enough. More Pamela than Britney. Sophisticated and soft.

However, like high-waisted jeans, wearing frosted lipstick now is different than when I wore frosted lipstick at 23. Now, I add a bit of Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Plumping Gloss in 001 Pink over top, framed with Mac's Stone lip pencil. A bit Y2K with a dash of "now".

Perfect!
