Le Labo’s Gaiac 10 fragrance is probably the most original, most complex scent I’ve ever worn. Being a migraineur, I can’t wear just anything. My head normally allows me to wear florals; mostly white flowers like jasmine and tuberose. When a fragrance is described with terms like “woodsy,” “incense,” and “cedar,” I’d normally run. Fast. But I took a chance and bought it, a few years back, scent un-smelled hoping I’d like it.
Well, I’ve loved G10 (the secret name for it) from the second I first applied it. Within my scent wardrobe, G10 is my main cold-weather fragrance. The best part is that it’s a personal scent. Someone needs to get close to you to smell it.
It’s like a warm, cozy hug; sitting by a fireplace in a cabin. Not that I’m at all outdoorsy but I do love warm scents with a bit of musk to soften the bite.
Gaiac 10 is one of 13 City Exclusives available online in the month of September. Otherwise, you can only buy them in their home store. In the case of Gaiac 10, Tokyo. I'm ready for this winter.
Le Labo Gaiac 10, starting at $60.
